PROJECT INFO
Choosing a topic is one of the hardest steps in completing a science fair project. It is important to pick a general a topic (biology, food chemistry, animals, etc.) OR something more specific like "antacids".
BEST ways to find a problem:
1) Research about the specific topic you are interested in. Find as much information you can about that topic and begin to brainstorm what possible problems you can either test for OR improve/redesign what has already been done.
2) Communicate (email, calling, talking to in person, etc.) with professionals/experts in the area of study that you are interested in. If you do not know of a person, contact local universities or businesses that work in the field of study you are interested in.
3) Search science fair websites, search engines (google, aol, yahoo, etc), or books for possible questions/ideas.
4) Talk with teachers, parents, neighbors, etc.
Remember ~
your focus should be on "DISCOVERING" something new
-- something you don't already know the answer to!!
