February 17th 1st ROUND of Judging - Butler Elementary 6th Grade
& Eastside (grades 7-12)
February 18th FINALIST Judging - Butler Elementary, Riverdale Elementary, &
Eastside Jr-Sr. High
February 18th 2:30 - 5:30 -- OPEN PUBLIC VIEWING

March 19th Northeastern Indiana Tri-State Regional Science Fair
(Tri-State, Angola: 8 am to 12 judging - Awards at 4 pm)
April 2nd Hoosier State Science Fair (Indianapolis, IN)
Butler's 6th Grade Science Fair Tentative Dates:
* August-September Brainstorm possible topics and testable questions.
* September ~ Turn-in testable question OR idea for engineering project
~ Turn-in 3-5 appropriate research questions
(use “Background Research” worksheet to help with coming up
with good researchable questions)
October ~ Research completed, recorded on SF report along with
reference citations.
~ Hypothesis, Variables & Controls, Materials, and Procedures
DUE on SF report
October/December Experimentation/Design Work
January ~ Data Analysis (completed graphs, data tables, etc.) & Conclusion
~ Print reports, work on display boards, and practice presentations
February ~ SCIENCE FAIR!!!
